Artist Frankie Cleverdon abandons her lucrative life in London to winter alone in a remote North Yorkshire cottage, determined to paint decent pictures again. However, the beautiful scenery inspires only despair and the bizarre behaviour of her neighbours in the valley soon becomes alarming.
