Cats are usually described as aloof and mysterious. This book explains why that isn't so. It uses lessons from Taoist philosophy to seriously explore the innate nature and behavior of cats. The book also presents lessons we can learn from our cats: creatures who are so physically, mentally, and spiritually balanced have much to teach us.
The lessons of Taoism are given practical application in non-violently solving cat behavior problems, including difficult issues such as furniture scratching, litter box problems, and aggression.
The foreword is by Susan Chernak McElroy, author of "Animals as Teachers and Healers" and "Animals as Guides to the Soul."

About the Author
Deborah Wood is a pet columnist for The Oregonian, writing articles on dogs, cats, and other domesticated animals. She is a veteran dog trainer and uses only nonviolent Taoist methods of training. She competes in obedience trials with her papillon dogs. Deborah Wood is also the author of The Tao of Bow Wow.
