ANTONIA FRASER is the author of many internationally best-selling historical works, including Marie Antoinette, The Wives of Henry VIII, Mary Queen of Scots, and Faith and Treason: The Story of the Gunpowder Plot. Awards she has received include the Wolfson History Prize, the Medallion (2000) of the Historical Association, the Crime Writers’ Association Macallan Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction, and the Franco-British Society's Enid McLeod Literary Prize. She is married to Harold Pinter, and they live in London.
