There are many types of condition which cause confusion. Alzheimer's Disease is one, but there are also others, which can frequently be effectively treated after prompt diagnosis. Written by two of the UK's leading experts in their field, The Alzheimer's Handbook gives sufferers and their carers practical and helpful information in the crucial areas of diagnosis, treatment and care. Dr Gerry Bennett and Dr Mark Jones draw on their own extensive professional experience and on the latest research and healthcare developments to explain the causes and effects of confusional states. There is reassuring advice on specific problems and helpful suggested sources of professional and informal help. With the right support and level of care Alzheimer's sufferers can now retain a quality of life previously thought impossible. This book will show the reader how.
