About the Author:
John Cowper Powys (1872-1963) was the son of a country parson and was brought up on the Dorset/Devon border. Educated at Cambridge, he lived for a while in the USA before settling finally in Wales. His major novels are A GLASTONBURY ROMANCE, WEYMOUTH and WOLF SOLENT.
