You can enjoy the lighter side of pirates in all their yo-ho-ho-ing glory in Don't Mention Pirates by Sarah McConnell, the story of a family who lived in a ship-shaped house. (Cork Evening Echo)
A brilliant pirate story for the very young with beautiful illustrations to complement the fun storyline. At last there's a book for toddlers who are too young to watch Pirates of the Caribbean but can share the experience of the world of pirates with the rest of the family. Girls particularly will love this. (www.lovereading4kids.co.uk)
...a bright, breezy, fun picture book.... (Newbury Weekly News)
On Ruby's Big Ideas:
