Sandra Browns book is completely gripping. In her clear sighted, affecting, uncluttered way, she acheives a sort of restoration for the missing girl Moira Anderson.... Sandra Brown found evil at close quarters, in the person of her own father, and she confronted it as few could have done.. bringing a slow burning candle into the darkest of rooms... I am thrilled to have been awarded 5 star reviews by the Daily Mail and Sunday Times and readers of Best magazine, as well as by many ordinary people who have also felt this book ( now the subject of tv interest) has touched their lives. What happened to Moira may remain unproven, but her memory will live on in the book I have written and in the Foundation named after her which I am launching Spring 2000. It will help victims of abuse negotiate the justice system and get cases to court and will work closely with the Assoc. of Child Abuse Lawyers in the UK, which was founded by a survivor. Diana Lamplugh OBE is coming north to Scotland to support the launch. I take this opportunity to thank her and all the people who have written to me from around the world or who have left messages of support...
