This beginners' guide to British birds looks at 262 of the most common birds to be found throughout the country, together with background information on each one and detailed identification notes. Each species is illustrated, showing the bird in characteristic habitat, and a distribution map shows when and where to expect to find each species. The text has been revised for this edition.
