From the Author:
WHY I WROTE THIS BOOK
The exploits of the men and women who worked undercover during the Second World War, have inspired many writers and the SOE was a particularly fascinating organization. It is a magnetic subject, which not only encompasses all the drama of a war but also throws light on human behaviour - on supreme courage, stupidities, passion, cunning, patriotism and selflessness. I loved writing this novel and what I discovered in the course of my research changed my views on many things.
