It is always difficult to see your hard work slammed in print, so after several times of reading this very negative review, I thought I'd respond. Luckily, the reader who hated my book seemes to be in the minority. The book has sold very well, as is the new title, A Stiff Risotto. I am so lucky to be able to combine my cooking and writing in this fun sub-genre. And, even if it did not seem so to the reader who wrote the bad review, I do have an editor at St. Martin's who has decided with book #4, I will go in hardback. Thanks to all the fans of food mysteries and those of Heaven Lee.

She holds a B.A. in Administration of Justice and those college criminal evidence courses have come in handy in her latest career of mystery novelist.
Currently she is working on another Heaven Lee mystery, and in her spare time is a party caterer, a script supervisor on film projects, and writes about food and wine.
