About the Author:

PROFESSOR ROBERT BALFOUR is Registrar of St Augustine College, the Catholic University of South Africa. He holds an honorary professorship in languages at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, and has held fellowships at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies (London) and Clare Hall (Cambridge). In addition to academic publications in literature, applied linguistics and education, Robert Balfour is also a published poet, writer of short fiction, and an exhibited painter.
