Very Good, Full 3 volume set in slipcase. Reprint 1971. Coloured map endpapers. Excellent, clean tight sound square, all 3 appear unopened and unread, firmly held in joints and hinges, crisp clean corners and edges. Excellent in bright gilt lettered, ruled and embossed green cloth-backed beige marbled boards with author's gilt initial vignette to upper, top edge green. Together with excellent original matt buff portrait pictorial and illustrated dustwrappers. Housed and protected in such great condition by very good white slipcase with matching scrolled borders and portrait pictorial, with light laminate lift to closed edge limited to joint and with rub to head of lower edge, not intruding or detracting and presenting very well. A delight for reader and collector alike and an appropriate purchase from Richard Booth's Bookshop here in Hay-on-Wye, the Town of Books, at the foothills of the Black Mountains, where the diaries are set and where much is unchanged.
