This latest edition includes many useful new tips and techniques ranging from beginning to advanced and inspirational art in galleries throughout the book.

As an artist and graphic designer who uses Painter every day, I find Painter 5 a joy to use. I thoroughly enjoyed researching and writing this edition of The Painter Wow! Book: MetaCreations has made the award-winning program easier to use, and they've added many new useful functions for artists, designers, photographers and folks creating images and animations for the web. This new edition features nearly 100 professional artists from around the world who share their unique techniques and stunning new illustrations. To make the information in The Painter 5 Wow! I've expanded on the already in-depth chapter introductions to include "nuts-and-bolts" information and many tips covering new functions such as the new selection and masking model, dynamic plug-in floaters and new plug-in brushes for painting, photography and special effects. You'll find the basic information about how these functions work in specific chapter introductions.
