Review:
There are few double-choir pieces that can be described as easy, especially if with some subdivision within the eight parts, but this is one. The option of single or double choir is unusual and no doubt reflects the circumstances of its original commission for the King's Singers' 40th anniversary, ten years ago - from which it has been arranged. The first SATB choir is self-contained with organ accompaniment or with a second SATB choir that mostly decorates, links or otherwise embellishes the first, all coming together for the final 'may we know thee, love thee' and 'Amen'. The words are the famous 'Prayer of St Richard of Chichester'. (James L Montgomery, rscm.com, March 2018)
