The children of Sebastopol Avenue and their friend the troll are exploring the old canal when scary noises under the bridge frighten the troll so much that he falls in. The water in the canal is so polluted that the troll is made quite ill. When he recovers the children decide to clean up the canal and soon it's turned into a lovely public park, with a market and boat trips for everyone to enjoy - especially the troll!

About the Author:
Ann Jungman was born in London. She taught for six years in London schools and then took an MA in American Studies, Literature and Comparative Education at London University. She started writing for children while she was teaching, and the popularity of the VLAD THE DRAC series enabled her to write full-time. She lives in London.
