About the Author:

Anne C. Levy, J.D., is an Associate Professor of Law, Public Policy, and Business in the Eli Broad College of Business and Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. She teaches courses in the legal environment of business and ethics for graduate students in the MBA on-campus program, the Weekend MBA Program in Integrative Management, and the Executive MBA program. As a member of the faculty in the Executive Education program, she is also involved in presenting workshops and seminars in a variety of topic areas, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful discharge.

Professor Levy received her B.A. and M.A. in English from Oakland University and her J.D. cum laude from Wayne State Law School. Before joining the faculty at Michigan State University, Professor Levy served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Patricia J. Boyle, associate justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. Prior to attending law school, she spent many years in the field of public relations.

Professor Levy has published a variety of articles on the subject of employment discrimination in such publications as the Albany Law Review, the Kansas Law Review, and the Wisconsin Law Review. In addition, she has been involved in a variety of legal seminars and training sessions for employees, managers, students, faculty, and administrators on the topic of sexual harassment.

As a consultant and expert witness, Professor Levy has been involved in a number of employment discrimination cases. These have included termination proceedings, arbitrations, trials, and appeals.

Michele A. Paludi, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized expert in academic and workplace sexual harassment. She is the editor of Ivory Power: Sexual Harassment on Campus (SUNY Press, 1990), coauthor of Academic and Workplace Sexual Harassment: A Resource Manual (SUNY Press, 1991), editor of Sexual Harassment on College Campuses: Abusing the Ivory Power (SUNY Press, 1996), and coauthor of Sexual Harassment, Work, and Education: A Resource Manual for Prevention (SUNY Press, 1998).

Dr. Paludi's book Ivory Power was named the 1992 recipient of the Gustavus Myers Center Award for the Outstanding Book on Human Rights in the United States.

Dr. Paludi is the author of 16 books on sexual harassment, the psychology of women, and gender. Her coedited book Psychology of Women: Handbook of Issues and Theories was named an outstanding academic book in the United States by the American Library Association.

Dr. Paludi is principal of Michele Paludi & Associates, Consultants in Sexual Harassment, and offers education and training in issues related to sexual harassment at schools, colleges, and organizations. In addition, she is an expert witness for academic and court proceedings involving sexual harassment.

For her research, training, and investigative work, Dr. Paludi received the 1992 Progress in Equity Award from the National and New York State Chapter of the American Association of University Women. She is also the 1988 recipient of the Emerging Leader Award from the Committee on Women of the American Psychological Association. In 1992, the YWCA awarded Dr. Paludi their Woman of Vision Award for Advocacy. Dr. Paludi was named a 1994 Woman of the Year by the New York State Business and Professional Women's Organization in 1994.

She has held faculty positions at Franklin and Marshall College, Kent State University, Hunter College, and Union College.

Dr. Paludi was a member of Governor Cuomo's Task Force on Sexual Harassment. She also chaired the U.S. Department of Education's Gender Equity Expert Panel on Sexual Harassment, Violence, and Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse in Higher Education.
