About the Author:

Nancy A. Anderson received her master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi, home of the extensive de Grummond collection of children’s books. It was there she fell in love with children’s literature. Her degrees were in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in reading and a cognate in children’s literature. She spent more than 26 years as a university professor, teaching courses in children’s literature and reading. In addition to publishing numerous articles in scholarly journals, she is author of What Should I Read Aloud? A guide to 200 best-selling picture books (International Reading Association, 2007). She is now a full time author.
