Hansjoerg Stern is a retired practicing engineer and Professor Emeritus, Purdue University. He spent 14 years teaching undergraduate and graduate engineering students at Purdue’s College of Technology and has more than 35 years of professional experience in fluid power control equipment design and development at the General Electric Co. and aerospace fluid power standardization work at the Society of Automotive Engineers. Stern holds 15 patents and is the coauthor of Design of Hydraulic Control Systems. He currently teaches at Cape Cod Community College.
