From School Library Journal:

Kindergarten-Grade 2-- When her mother apologizes for leaving Natalie with her grandmother for the day, Natalie tries not to smile. She cheerfully imagines her day with Nana, reliving past outings and visits, and picturing her energetic and unusual grandmother communicating with the seals at the zoo, teaching her how to skate backwards, and standing in front of store windows imitating mannequins. Bright cartoonlike watercolors complement the text, capturing a warm and caring relationship. This is a pleasant but slight story without the depth of character found in Elaine Moore's Grandma's Promise (Lothrop, 1988). --Pearl Herscovitch, University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada
