The book that will do for wine what Susanna and Trinny did for fashion.

The Richard & Judy Wine Guide takes you on a fun and fact-filled journey through the world of wine from the vine to the bottle, with tasting tips that will transform your drinking experience and impress your friends and family.

The key to The Richard & Judy Wine Guide is to help you get enjoyment from wine, demystifying the once elitist practice of wine-tasting by asking all the questions that you've always been too embarrassed to. What is the difference between Merlot and Bordeaux? Why should I inhale before I taste? How can I tell if a bottle is 'corked' and what does that actually mean? Do I really need to drink white wine with fish and red wine with steak?

Susy Atkins, Joe Wadsack and Jean Marc Sauboua – the experts from Channel 4's Richard & Judy Wine Club – take you first through the Old World and then the New, visiting each area and the growers that make the regions' most famous wines. They explain each stage of wine producing and how variations in practice, grape and weather can affect the taste of the wine. They'll give you recommendations so you can drink and learn along with them. The book closes with a look at the ultimate celebratory drink: Champagne!

This fantastic, hugely accessible wine guide is filled with stunning photographs of all the beautiful regions visited along the way. Illustrated panels are filled with fascinating and fun tasting-tips from our experts, covering everything you need to know from basic tasting techniques to the benefits of decanting, and starting your own cellar.

The Richard and Judy magic illuminates wine in the same way that it did literary fiction: in a fun, no-nonsense manner that you simply cannot ignore.
