Percy the park keeper loves to spend time with his animal friends, even though his work in the park keeps him very busy. The animals often need Percy to lend a helping hand, like the time when a little bird needed flying lessons...
Percy and his animal friends take it upon themselves to teach their new little bird friend to fly. Squirrel’s idea almost turns to disaster, but in the end their feathered friend goes on his way under his own steam!

More challenging than many from the same series, in The Owl's Lesson Percy is called upon to rectify a problem. A fledgling has been stranded by his migrating flock. He must learn to fly or he will be stranded. Percy enrols the Owl into becoming a flying teacher. Will the little fledgling be able to catch up with his friends before they get too far? A charming tale beautifully illustrated, will entertain again and again. This book introduces more written text per page and contains more challenging grammar. (Ages 5 to 7) --Jon Smith
