Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. True first edition and 1st printing of this important work. We currently have listed a nicer copy, but this is also an altogether sound copy, despite the wreckage to the dustjacket which is plainly visible. From the home of a tobacco smoker, so there is requisite faint odor, though not offensive, as well as some toning at the edges. Former owners name of front free endpaper, which also has a diagonal crease to it, otherwise interior is clean and free of marks or damage. Binding is solid, square, sound and boards are clean and firm. Dustjacket has a giant piece missing in the front, clearly visible in photos. Jacket is torn along the front joint about 3/4 of the way, still intact. Sporadically frayed around the edges with some small chips and creases, and aforementioned toning particularly to the back panel. Looks better now in brodart !.

First Edition
Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First Edition. First edition. xiii, [i], 176 pp. Bound in original cloth lettered in blue. Fine in Very Good dust jacket with a few small chips at edges, a few short closed tears, rubbing, a few pieces of archival mending tissue on verso, price intact ($2.50). Uncommon. A perennially popular work of social psychology that, in the past few years, has reputedly described the Occupy movement, the Tea Party, Trump's popular base (by Hillary Clinton), the 9/11 terrorists, and all sorts of other groups across the political spectrum. It remains in print. That it was written by a San Francisco longshoreman with no higher education is remarkable.
