Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Ticky, Stella Gibbons, Lomgmans, Green and Co., 1943, First Edition, First Impression Written by the author of Cold Comfort Farm, this story tells of extraordinary people living in a world of their own. The First Bloods, one of Queen Victoria's regiments, are involved in a tussle with the regimental servants over a portion of recreational ground. Amidst the rows and rumbles - and remarkable punishments - is a mocking and piquant observation of factious all-male societies. This is a First Edition, First Impression in very good condition. The binding is straight and tight, the bright blue boards clean and the silver lettering bright. The slightly toned end papers and pages are clean without marks or tears. There is a neat ownership name, address and date on the inside of the front board. The deep blue colouring is still bright with the cream rear slightly darkened. Will be dispatched, fully insured, wrapped in bubble wrap and in a cardboard box.
