Original decorative red cloth, front and rear panels stamped in black, spine panel stamped in black and red, all edges of text block stained red, floral endpapers. Early book plate affixed to front paste-down. Early pencil gift inscription on front free endpaper. Rear outer hinge separated and re-glued, a few water strikes on cloth, a fairly good copy externally, nice inside. #1481. $12. Excerpts from what became a voluminous series of sentimental and melodramatic tales begun by Wilson and continued after his early death by others. Very popular at one time, now forgotten.
