This book has been valued even by those uninterested in music, since it helps Tolkien's readers to better understand the cultures of the various mythological beings presented in Middle-earth, and helps linguists analyse Tolkien's poetry. As well as the poems, notes, and translations. A must have for any collector of Tolkien at a great price. Good to very good condition, pages are clean with no markings, Binding and boards are square, tight, and flat. Corners are bumped all around, bottom corner of spine is slightly worse than the other corners. DJ fair to good, chip missing on bottom front edge, bottom spine has tape repaired tear, top front has small tear (1/4"), and back is stained. Both front and back have small spots of foxing.
