Jahrhundert ist es Nicobobinus und seiner Freundin Rosie schrecklich langweilig. Plötzlich kommt ihnen die - auch schon für die damaligen Verhältnisse reichlich verrückte - Idee, das Land der Drachen zu suchen. Doch als sie für die Reise ein paar Äpfel stehlen wollen, werden sie von dem Gartenbesitzer erwischt. Der ist kein geringerer als der Goldene Mann, der, bösartig wie er ist, alles in Gold verwandelt, was er berührt. Leider berührt er auch Nicobobinus' Füße und Arme, so daß er fortan von habgierigen Piraten, geheimnisvollen Mönchen und einigen mehr oder minder finsteren Gestalten verfolgt wird. Ein sehr mysteriöser Arzt empfiehlt Nicobobinus gegen seine "Goldgelenke" eine Salbe aus Drachenblut. Also setzen die beiden ihre Reise fort, denn im Land der Drachen muß es ja wohl irgendwie auch Drachenblut geben. So durchqueren sie das "Meer der Berge", rasten in der "Stadt der Schreie" und lernen merkwürdige Wesen kennen, wie den Mann, der gleichzeitig schläft und doch wach ist. The book is bound in the original blue boards with brown titling on the spine. The book is in excellent condition and the contents are tight and clean with no inscription. The unclipped dustwrapper is very good with some shelf wear and rubbing to the spine ends. The spine is slightly yellowed together with about 1" of the adjacent part of the back of the wrapper. There is a tear of about 1/2" on the bottom front edge that has been repaired on the reverse with tape.
