There is a Caldecott gold foil medal on the cover and mention of the Caldecott Award on the front flap. The back flap features "Ape in a Cape". The VERY GOOD book is sturdy, crisp & clean with stunning illustrations and endpapers. NO TEARS! Owner name written on the back of the front endpaper. Although NOT the First Edition, it is an early printing, since the price on the front flap of the dj was also $2.50 on the First Edition. Also mentions Caldecott Award on the copyright page.
