DJ has light wear. Preface by Douglas Day, Lowry's biographer. Book grew out of a trip Lowry and his wife took in 1945, from Mexico City to Cuernavaca to Oaxaca to Acapulco and back to Mexico City. After a series of dreadful, comic catastrophes in the latter two cities, they were deported to Canada. Seven hundred pages of notes and drafts were left at his death, from which the editors created this manuscript. Nice copy. Box JM.
