Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Mervyn Peake (illustrator). Published here in the Literature for Life series. The introduction by Maeve Gilmore, Peake's widow, explains the genesis of the story and how the Boy is, in fact, another aspect of Titus Groan. First published as "Sometimes Never" in 1957, then with its present title in 1969. Hint of a lift to card cover else Fine. All profits to Amnesty International.
First edition. Hardcover. Very fine in like dustjacket. A novella of the boy Titus Groan and Gormenghast castle, first published in 1956 in a famous anthology called "Sometime Never: Three Tales of the Imagination", the other two stories being contributed by William Golding and John Wyndham. This is the first separate and first illustrated edition, with fine Peake-like b/w drawings by Irish artist, P.J. Lynch.
