Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Maroon hardback with gold print on spine. Front board has a bit of an upward bend (probably from poor storage). Fraying/bumping to edges and corners of boards. When looking at the pages from the side, they appear to have a very slight wave to them but I don't see evidence of moistrue damage to book. Pages tight but book will lay open (pages detached along inside spine/gutter). Pages clean/unmarked. 142 pages. Possibly First Edition as no other print info stated. Book probably closer to Fine condition overall. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. Hydraulic mining is a main feature of the book as alluvial deposits are its main focus. There are 116 illustrations. The author was an associate of Camborne School of Mines and lived at Porthleven, Cornwall although many of the photographs are of mining and prospecting in Africa. Overall good condition though there is some bubbling of the red cloth covers and wear on edge of spine. Size - 225mm. x 158mm.(8vo.). Pp.142.
