Postcard. Condition: Fine. An uncommon view by Zaccarelli's of the once-thriving mining town of Conrad City, nicely enhanced by the sternwheeler 'Gleaner' sitting at the ore dock. Color collotype postcard, printed on divided back stock measuring 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches wide. Card w. toning verso, else fine and postally unused. "Conrad was founded in 1905 by Colonel J.H. Conrad of the Conrad Consolidated Mining Company, and had about 300 residents at its peak. It was abandoned within a decade once falling silver prices drove the company into bankruptcy." Date of card is 28/11/07. Ref. Elder, 2nd edition [2020].

Soft cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 1st Edition/1st Printing Limited Edition (1 of 300) hardcover. No dust jacket as issued. Ex-Library but in great condition aside from standard library marks, bookplate, labels, pocket and the like. All pages are clean and undamaged with the exception of the aforementioned ex-library relics. Exterior covers are also spotless with the same caveat. No bumped corners or rub wear. There is a 1/4" chip in the brown surface of the boards at the lower left corner of the back cover. Ex-Library relics include two stickers on the back cover, stickers covered with clear tape on the spine, memorial bookplate on the first free endpage, bookplate on the second free endpage, "resource center" stamp on the half-title page, a small sticker on the title page, "California 62410" stamped on the first page of the preface, pocket on the reverse of the last free endpage, and "The Los Angeles County Public Library System" stamped on the bottom of the book (outer page edges). Will be bubble-wrapped and shipped in a sturdy box to ensure safe delivery.
