A wonderfully vibrant photographic study of the peoples and cultural life of tribes in the Horn of Africa, with colour photographs and b/w drawings by an Australian (Fisher) and an American (Beckwith) photographer. This was Ossie Emery's copy ( with his signature and phone number, in pencil on the corner of the front free endpaper). Emery was a Australian photographer (a contemporary of Max Dupain and David Moore) who spent a good deal of his early photographic working-life in Africa.
