The dustwrapper has a one inch tear at the top left of the front panel. The book itself is in very good order, with two incongruous faults, on the centre of the title page there is a foxing spot measuring approximately 1 inch in diameter and on the foreword page and the page opposite in a matching position, there is a 3 inch foxing mark almost perfectly circular. Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge-wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing. Damp stains.
