Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. This is a collection of seven stories, two baseball and two football, plus other stories of boys in the prep world of the 1920s. In one of the baseball stories, a high school player learns how to deal with bean balls and in the other, a high school captain decides he must sacrifice some games this so that next year's team is able to gain experience. Has a nice frontispiece of a batter moving away from an inside pitch. Has red boards, a solid copy in fair to good condition. I have more than 260 juvenile baseball fiction, lots of sports collections and anthologies, and around 80 football fiction titles in stock. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good Dust Jacket. This old book with dust jacket is clean, solid and in great shape! This is a hardcover book with 198 pages including many illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. There is some light soiling along the fore edge and there is a dedication written on the first end paper. The pages are otherwise clean with no tears. The copyright page shows 1929 as the published date. The dust jacket is over 99% intact with general edgewear and one, half inch chip at the top of the DJ spine (a small piece of the letter J in "Jerry" is missing). No other chips. We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!.

The paper of the book is also clean with almost no aging.
