Uncasville, CT: R. H. Fawcett, 1999. First Edition. Hardcover limited to 400 copies. As New in dust jacket. Illustrated by Wendy Wees. Interior art by Wees. A collection of Victorian ghost stories by a friend of M. R. James. Edited with an Introduction by . SIGNED by Jessica. In the words of M. R. James' biographer R. W. Pfaff, Jessopp was "a fine specimen of the learned but somewhat eccentric country parson. His "An Antiquary's Ghost Story" is moderately well known, but few people are aware that he composed others in the final decade of the nineteenth century. He and MRJ became friends when they collaborated on their remarkable study and translation of the 12th century Life and Miracles of St William of Norwich by Thomas of Monmouth (1896) which MRJ discovered in a Suffolk church. MRJ almost certainly read "An Antiquary's Ghost Story" in advance of composing his own vastly more famed Ghost Stories of an Antiquary. AUTOGRAPHED by the editor. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: As New. Wendy Wees (illustrator). Limited Edition. Dunbar, Olivia Howard: THE SHELL OF SENSE: COMPLETE GHOST STORIES. Uncasville, CT: R. H. Fawcett, 1998. First Edition, hardcover, As New in dust jacket. Limited to 400 copies. Book is SIGNED by editor. Gorgeously illustrated by Wendy Wees with book design by Rhonda Boothe, the result is a book of unusually refined physical appearance. Edited with an Introductory essay by Jessica Amanda Salmonson, "The Psychological Ghost Stories of Olivia Howard Dunbar." A leading "magazinist" of her day, Olivia Howard Dunbar's ghost stories were never previously gathered into one place. Her tales though American are reminiscent of such Brits as Oliver Onions and May Sinclair, due to their psychological depth. The tales are "The Long Chamber" "The Sycamore" "The Dream Baby" and "The Shell of Sense." Additionally, there are two related essays by Dunbar. One is on the nature of ghost literature, "The Decay of the Ghost in Fiction" which she wrote before writing any of her own, and that essay serves as an Author's Preface. The other is "The Present Status of the Ghost" about persisting belief in them, serving as Author's Afterword. AUTOGRAPHED by the editor. Signed by Author(s).

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. Wendy Wees (illustrator). 1st Edition. First hardcover edition. Fine in Fine dustwrapper, wraparound artwork by Wendy Wees, plus interior illustrations by Wendy. One of 500 numbered copies. Doubly autographed by the author and illustrator. This novel initially appeared as the Ace Books paperback Tomoe Gozen, but had many textual problems, some the author's fault, others imposed by overzealous editing by the publisher. The present edition is the revised, corrected, restored, and definitive text. Tomoe Gozen was an historical figure, a woman samurai of the Kamakura Period. The present novel, however, is set in an alternate-world Japan called Naipon, where the gods and mythic creatures and magics of old Japan are real. It mixes a little history with a lot of fantasy, having a lot of influence from "jidai-geki" or samurai cinema. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. Signed by Author(s).
