Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Third American edition, revised. Publisher's catalog of medical books bound in at rear. Early owner's bookplate inside front cover and a second owner's name, city and date (1851) at front. Some wear to the contemporary full leather binding. Foxing to the endpapers and a few slight smudges to the pages, but overall the contents remain near fine. International shipping may require additional postage.

Leather cover rubbed & worn, title in gold lettering on black on spine, Dr. Robert Elderdice of McKnightstown, PA partial label on spine & front cover. Book signed by Dr. Elderdice inside front cover at New Salem Hotel in McKnightstown, PA in 1868. The Gettysburg Times of June 29, 1936 reported that Dr. Elderdice enlisted in the Union Army in October 1862 at the age of 17 in Carlisle, PA and attended the Gettysburg Address by President Lincoln on July 28, 1863. Dr. Elderdice was a founder of the Adams County Medical Society in Gettysburg, PA on June 14, 1873. 1040 pages & 32 page Catalogue of Medical, Surgical, Scientific, and Miscellaneous Books, published by Lea and Blanchard, Philadelphia, 1847, pages have age spots.
