Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Missing front free endpaper. Pages and plates are moderately tanned and foxed, but text and images remain clear. Visible marking to some pages throughout, but text is not affected. Deckled edges. Stamp to rear free endpaper. Pencil inscription to half title page. Boards have light shelf-wear, with minor corner bumping and minimal scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are heavily sunned, with noticeable crushing and slight splitting to ends. Gilt remains bright. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall, with small but visible marks also. Sticker to front board. Slight forward lean.
