Hard Back. Honor C. Appleton (illustrator). First Edition. First Edition hard back. Original blue cloth boards with pictorial paper onlay to the front. Minor chipping to the paper onlay and light fading to the spine with a little shelf wear to the top and base. The binding however is in a good clean condition with the gilt to the spine still bright. Slight cracking to the internal hinges although the binding is still fairly tight. There is heavy foxing to the half title page with foxing to the prelims and occasionally throughout. Pages otherwise are clean, beautifully illustrated with line drawings and eight full page colour illustrations throughout. pp. 287. Overall a good copy with many wonderful stories.nbsp; book.
