Condition: Poor. Frontis of hunting dogs (illustrator). In this volume are recorded the incidents of a winter's sport in the backwoods of Maine from the introduction. Field notes at the end give information about the lynx, the largest of the wild cat species found in northern New England and Canada. Disbound, rips on frontis, top of last half of book edge damage. Laid in hand drawn plans for traps. Laid in 4 page article on "How to Remove and Handle Animal Glands" by Oscar Cronk, Jr.

He was also a contributor to many sportsman magazines on different aspects of trapping and the various types of animals he trapped. This book covers much of his life when he lived in Maine and was a good friend of the author. He did write a book in 1928; Thrilling Adventures; Guiding, Trapping, Big Game Hunting from the Rio Grande to the Wilds of Maine, by V. E. Lynch. A clean very presentable copy.
