The front endpapers show a map of the Eastern Theater and the back endpapers show a map of the Western Theater. Inside the book is in excellent condition. There aren't any apparent tears in any pages or any writing save that which was printed. There isn't any water damage, either. Both the front cover and back cover are virtually untouched by any sun damage, while the spine is bleached. The contents include and introduction, a list of abbreviations used in the maps and diagrams, the civil war dicitonary, an atlas of sectional maps covering the civil war area, an a list of authorities cited. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

This is a nice nonfiction military history book called Military Customs and Traditions, copyright 1956, second printing, hard cover, dust jacket, written by major Mark M. Boatner III with illustrations by Lt. Col. Lachlan M. Field. The books dust jacket has some small tears and chips, otherwise in good condition in a new archival mylar wrap. The book itself has previous owned name on back side offirst end page, otherwise in good plus condition with tight binding and 176 pages. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
