Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Unknown (Probably a reprint). Very good, blind-stamped, decorated paper-covered boards with clear black titling and decoration to the spine. An impressed Frys Breakfast Cocoa logo on the rear cover. In the original most attractive illustrated period dust jacket, with a delightful illustration by H. C. Marsh Lambert for Frys Cocoa on the rear cover of the d/j. The d/j spine has a 2/- sticker near the foot of the spine and there is a little VERY light edgewear. A small brown spot is obscuring the 'an' of the word 'romantic' on the front of the d/j - but o/w VG, showing a charming period image of a lady and child on the front of the d/j. The d/j nis ow in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Near Fine. No date shown, but I suspect that this is a smaller cheaper edition of this novel, but probably published pretty soon after the original, around the same sort of date. However I could be wrong, and this may be a first, as the first was published in 1916, mid 1st World War, and paper at that time would have been scarcer then - this is published on cheaper 'grey-browny' paper. It does, however, have the look of a 'cheaper' popular edition to me, as the adverts on the flaps of the d/j and the ads inside, are all for 'Popular' or 'Cheap' editions? . Page fore-edges tanning - but uniformly. Internally NO Inscriptions or Marks, and the whole book looks unread. 253 pp (Including 3 Advert pps) . An excellent condition novel unusually still in the original d/j of the period. See Images. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall.
