Book First Edition
Hardcover (Original Cloth). Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Robert Layzell  Cover Art (illustrator). First Edition. Dark blue coloured cloth covered boards with silver coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound), by Robert Layzell, with red and white coloured titles to the front panel and red coloured titles to the back strip. "The Planet Masters describes a highly structured society which parodies our own thirst for status: promotion on Seltique is achieved by cultural contributions and ritual murder; social classes are numbered and rigidly immobile; members of one class freely abuse members of the class below them. Larson McCade is willing to risk his life for power, but on a panel at like Seltique, he just might get more then he is bargaining for."  from the half title page. Author's first book. Softening of the back strip edges along with some dust marks. Rubbing of the book corners and the spine is a little cocked. Some stains to the top textblock edge and there is sustaining on the penultimate page. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with fading of the back strip. Browning of the fold over panels.
