First English edition translated by Malcolm Burr published in 1949. As well as translating from the Russian, and possibly also Turkish, Malcolm Burr wrote on his travels round Russia and his participation in the Salonika Campaign.

Boards bumped at corners and spine ends, with some smudging and finger-soiling to surface. Spine a bit cocked and darkened. Light bump to top corner of textblock throughout most of book, not touching text. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.
