Soft cover. Condition: Good. Paperback, 289 pages, NOT ex-library. A good copy, tight binding, unmarked text. Looks clean, there is however a faint beige stain showing on lower outer page edges externally (around the outer corner) and - very vaguely - in lower corner of last and first page inside the book. Other than that, pages are clean and bright, with limited creasing, slightly curled tips of corners (first and last leaves). --- Volume 2 of Lecture Notes in Nonlinear Analysis contains papers selected from those submitted by mathematicians lecturing at the minisemester organized by the International Stefan Banach Mathematical Center in Warsaw with cooperation of the Juliusz Schauder Center for Nonlinear Studies, devoted to topological methods in differential inclusions and optimal control problems. CONTENTS: Control and optimization of nonlocal steady-state problems / Bounded, almost-periodic and periodic solutions of quasi-linear differential inclusions / Noncompact version of the Multivalued Nielsen Theory and its application to differential inclusions / On the semilinear multi-valued flow under constrains and the periodic problem / Dirichlet problems with variable boundary data / On discontinuous differential equations / Uniqueness of optimal trajectories and thenonexistence of shocks for Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman and Riccati partial differential equations / On some second-order necessary conditions for differential inclusions problems / A unified topological point of view for integro-differential inclusions / The Borsuk-Ulam theorem for approximable maps / Semicontinuous solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations with state constraints / Of topological dimensions of a set of solutions of functional inclusions / Accessible points and submanifolds of mechanical systems with set-valued forces on riemanian manifolds / Leray-Schauder type theorems & equilibrium existence theorems / Stability & instability of periodic solutions of damped wave equation in a thin domain / Potential type inclusions / Graph-approximation of set-valued maps / Applications of Marczewski function to multifunctions / Characterization of approximate solutions to convex problems of calculus of variations / Continuous selections of non-lower semicontinuous nonconvex-valued mappings / On maximality property / Construction of solutions in differential games of pursuit-evasion.
