Undated but circa 1890 navy blue HC book has a paper spine label with faded black and burgandy font, and is in G + shape with bumped spine ends and corners. Some shelf wear to boards, front gutter hinge split to binding and stretched but holding, rear hinge is fine, eps foxed, top page edges gilt, front and bottom page edges deckle cut. Book is completely unmarked and as unread, several page edges still remain uncut, square, clean, minimal foxing around page edges, no odors. No DJ. About 40 authentic portraits from steel and woodcut engravings (26 by Delort), amrorous history of the court of King Charles II. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Illustrated by Wilfred Jones, an American illustrator. In the original quarter buckram with red cloth boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and fading to the spine.
