Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Oversized hardcover. Vellum spine and marbled paper over boards. Purple patterned slipcase is bumped and edgeworn. The book is in very good condition. A limited edition of 80 copies. This is copy number 12. It was bound by hand by Ivan Ruzicka in Prague. Signed on the colophon page by Robert Marx, Eva Thoby-Marcelin (the translator) and the binder Ivan Ruzicka. Only 15 copies were bound - the others were issued in portfolio. Contains a finely printed English language version of de Maupassant's story and 10 plates by Marx, each of which is signed and numbered (12/80). Very good condition.
