Faint impressions and touches of rust discoloration from former paper clip upper edges pre-title through contents pages. Light abrasion with touches of surface loss along rear edges and hinge, slightly stronger at extreme spine ends. Central wraps clean and very bright. Light spine slant with no effect on strong binding. Pages clean and unmarked on well-toned, somewhat pulpy stock. Light toning and foxing to page edges with moderate shelving soil and foxing upper edges.

Black and white and occasional colour photographic illustrations throughout the book. ***Near fine in map-illustrated paper-covered boards. The boards are clean and unmarked. Head and tail of spine just slightly creased. No bumps. Corners sharp. Page block edges clean. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Internally also near fine with no inscriptions. Pages clean and bright. No foxing. No creases or tears. Printed on nice quality paper. ***In a very good illustrated dustwrapper, which repeats the map design on the boards. The dustwrapper is complete, but has a large corner price-clip to the front flap. Extremities of dustwrapper slightly rubbed, with a small area of loss at the top of the spine. No creases or tears. No fading.
