Undated, late 19th C. Binding is a little fragile. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Hardcover. Condition: G-. Reprint. Soiled early copy. (viii), 255pp, plus a guarded frontis and 3 other plates. Prefaced with an elusive 'Suggestive' by Amy Lothrop (Anna Bartlett Warner) concerning the identity of the author(s). Hull stationer's blind-stamp to front free endpaper. Shallow stain to fore-edge of many pages, and some soiling, though a majority of pages in the middle of the book are clean and not stained. Some gatherings of pages protrude at fore-edge, but are not loose. Rather musty. Small octavo, in contemporary crimson cloth, boards decorated in blind, spine lettered in gilt: soiled and knocked but firm, gilt quite bright. 19thC editions of this title are scarce.
