Hardcover. Condition: Fair. A New Edition, Revised. 12mo. 351 pages, 1893 publisher's 32 page catalog. Dark blue cloth hardcover with illustration on the front cover and title on the spine. Cloth is chipped head and base of the spine. Corners are bumped, worn. Slight lean to the binding. Hinges cracked. This copy has an armorial bookplate of 'Algernon Tudor Craig F.S.A.' on the front paste down. "John Hutchinson Cook Collection 1983" label on the rear paste down. A faded round embossed stamp on the right front flyleaf. Interior text is clean and in good condition. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. A very good copy of the Frederick Warne & Co. hard cover edition as edited by Edward Walford. No dust-jacket. Previous owner's name to front endpaper, else the text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the binding bright and fresh in appearance, with some fraying at the top of the spine. 438 pp. followed by 10 pp of adverts for Frederick & Warne publications. Rear endpaper split in the gutter, revealing the webbing, which remains firm and intact: there is no wobble to the rear board. A lovely copy.

Half-Leather. Condition: Fine. Reprint. This copy is in fine condition half bound in blue calf with bright gilt titling to a red calf compartment and banding to the spine to pebbled blue cloth covered boards. This copy is bright, tight, white and square. There is some typical light spotting to the prelims. There is a small neat copperplate signature to the head of both title pages. A dust wrapper is not called for. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. The combined weight of these two large, illustrated volumes is 2.8 Kgs so shipping rates will need to be quoted. This two volume set is undated but a previous owner has dated the title page of volume one 1884. Thes two columes present a circular tour round Chiswick, Ealing, Twickenham, Shepperton, Staines, Hillingdon, Uxbridge, Ruislip, Harrow, Barnet, Chigwell, Ilford, Dagenham, Woolwich, Sidcup, Bromley, Beckenham, Croydon, Epsom, Kingston, Richmond, Wimbledon and all the towns and villages between. Heavily illustrated with over one thousand one hundred wood-engravings, including many images of buildings and villages never previously published.
