Apart from some glue residues on the front paste-down and front free endpaper, where a bookplate was removed, a near fine copy lacking the dustwrapper. Written in collaboration with Allan W. Mitchell. Inscribed by Campbell on the front free endpaper: "To: / My Very Dear Friend / Nicky / from / Donald / May 1959". On the 14th of May 1959 Campbell set a new world speed record of 260.35 mph (418.99 km/h) in his Bluebird K7 on Coniston Water. Widmung des Verfassers.
